Birthday cake
It was my birthday on Tuesday. My family celebrated it with me on Monday night on account that my sister and nephew was not around on Tuesday. My mom treated us to a nice dinner at Overseas Restaurant... lovely 6 course Chinese food. My sister bought the birthday cake. It has been a long time since I had a birthday cake with "Happy Birthday Tina" written on it.
When my nephew arrived at the house, he burst into the room and said again and again "derdeitake" which I did not understand until I followed his instructions, taking me downstairs to the fridge and pointed out the birthday cake. He insisted "Yee Ma, eat" so I told him to wait for Babu.After dinner he anticipated the cake which the restaurant staff took some time to present. He knew that first you sing the song (recording played over the sound system to the whole restaurant), then you blow the candle and then cut the cake. Dex even sang bits of the song and helped me blow the candles, of course blessing the cake with some spray of his saliva! Then he helped me to cut the cake. At first the restaurant staff thought it was his birthday because of his excitement and involvement! He enjoyed the cake and shared a piece with me.
It was really nice to share my birthday celebrations with my family, especially with my nephew as he enjoys cake and the birthday cake cutting ceremony.

My - you are brave to have all the candles on the cake. Happy Birthday my friend. We'll have another dinner when you get back to London, but it might not be a 6-course event.
Well, we put all the candles on there so that my nephew can blow them out (with my help!). Apparently he is very excited when there are many candles. A week later, he still remembers it has been my birthday!
