Road Trip Part 1 - Bournemouth

For the bank holiday weekend at the end of May, Lee Ling, Friend A Sook and I decided to take a road trip to Cornwall. It was a place I have not been to. We only had 3 days to make the journey and back, which is quite a long way to go. So we started off on Friday evening, figuring I could drive for a couple of hours, rest for the night and continue the next day. We wanted to leave by 6pm at the latests, but Friend A Sook arrived at 6:30pm and so we decided to grab a quick fish and chips dinner before setting off, in case we arrive too late for dinner.

First stop was Bournemouth. We stayed at the Newbury Hotel, which was not far from the sea front. It was quite comfortable, and being last minute bookings, they were able to offer a twin room and a single room for the 3 of us. In the morning, after breakfast, we went for a walk on the beach. The beach had quite fine sand like Malaysian beaches and not pebbles like many of the British sea front. It was quite a nice warm morning, but we were probably a bit early as it was quiet.
I had been to Bournemouth several times during my past life as an auditor, but they were during the winter and being work, I never had the time to set foot on the beach!
